New Statesman, best known as a quality left-of-centre politics weekly in the UK, occasionally dips its toe into popular culture.

And most times, it dips its toe pretty daintily and everyone’s happy about it.

And then there’s this.

It is universally accepted that The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith were incredibly disappointing. And yet everyone is wrong about that.


You just can’t beat the sheer fearless wrongness of that headline. It’s wonderful.
